International Student Orientation
Drury holds one combined International Student Orientation for new undergraduate, exchange, and graduate international students before the start of each semester. This in-person program is coordinated with Drury's New Student Orientation.
No Pre-Arrival Orientation: Drury does not run a separate pre-arrival orientation series. Pre-arrival information is shared through email and the New International Student Arrival form.

Immigration Documents for New Students
Form I-20 or DS-2019
New international students receive a Form I-20 (for F-1 status) or Form DS-2019 (for J-1 status) from Drury after admission and documentation of financial support are complete.
SEVIS I-901 Fee
Before applying for an F-1 or J-1 visa, students must pay the SEVIS I-901 fee online using the SEVIS ID printed on their I-20 or DS-2019.
- Valid passport (6+ months validity)
- F-1/J-1 visa stamp (or visa-exempt status)
- I-20 or DS-2019 from Drury
- SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt
- Financial documentation
- Admission letter and materials
Immigration Check-In
All new international students must complete immigration check-in with Drury after arrival and before or during International Orientation.
What to Bring to Check-In
- Passport with visa
- I-94 arrival record (i94.cbp.dhs.gov)
- I-20 or DS-2019
- Local U.S. address

Transfer Students
Students currently studying at another U.S. school who intend to transfer to Drury must coordinate a SEVIS transfer with their current institution and Drury.

Inform your current school's international office of your intent to transfer.

Complete Drury Admission
Complete your admission process with Drury.

Request SEVIS Transfer
Your current school will release your SEVIS record to Drury's school code.

Receive New I-20
Drury issues a new I-20 for "Transfer Pending" students.
