More Than One Path

Most students earn the M.Arch. in five years rather than the national average of six. Every student studies abroad for at least five weeks and completes 360 paid internship hours. Alumni work in 41 states and 16 countries.

A BS built for students heading into software development or graduate study. 41 credit hours: a 23-hour computer science core plus work in hardware, systems, theory, and software engineering. Tracks available in software engineering and game development.

Nationally ranked top 50 school. A Bachelor of Business Administration pairing business training with a technical foundation in cybersecurity: network, software, and web application security, cryptography, end-user security, and legal and regulatory compliance. 63 credit hours.

Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), an honor only 5% of the world’s business programs hold. Majors in accounting, business economics, cyber-risk management, finance, integrated business, and management and marketing. Study abroad is a degree requirement. Internship placement runs through the Compass Center.

A BA or BS in Health Science from Drury plus an ASN and BSN from Southwest Baptist University: three degrees in four years. Nursing courses are taken at SBU; all tuition is paid to Drury. First-time freshmen only.

Important: transfer and equivalency credits for Drury's curriculum must be declared during your admissions process, and all course equivalencies must be approved at that time.

Drury's professional school acceptance rates run well above national averages. The curriculum was built by studying the admission requirements of the top schools in the Midwest: a shared core, then eleven tracks from pre-medicine to physician assistant, with electives that let you pursue other interests. Early acceptance to Missouri medical and dental schools is available through partner scholars programs, which reduce or remove the MCAT as a selection factor.

A 63-credit BS spanning chemistry, biology, calculus, and physics, with labs at every level and a senior capstone. Advanced options include medicinal chemistry, instrumental analysis, immunology, and cellular and molecular biology. Biochemistry majors cannot also major or minor in biology or chemistry.

Nearly 100% of psychology students who apply are accepted to graduate, law, or medical school, recently at Washington University, UC Davis, Purdue, and King's College London. Two degrees: the BS research track (47–50 credits, with a two-semester thesis) for graduate study, and the BA applied track (44 credits, two internships) for business, education, law, or social work. Every student completes at least one professional internship.

A BS in electrical or mechanical engineering, completed in four years at a maximum of 17 credit hours per semester. A common first year: embedded systems, computer-aided design and 3D printing, interdisciplinary design, MATLAB, lets you choose your major after seeing the breadth of engineering. All labs and lectures are taught by full-time faculty, both of whom are ABET accreditation evaluators with decades of teaching behind them. Note the engineering program fee: $600 per class, capped at $1,200 per semester.

A 66-credit BS built for doctoral programs in physical therapy and graduate study in exercise physiology. Coursework spans biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, including human anatomy, human physiology, nutrition, strength training, and prevention and care of athletic injuries. A required internship and senior seminar close out the degree.

An 87-credit Bachelor of Music Therapy for students who want to work clinically, using music to reach non-musical goals in cognition, communication, movement, and emotional health. Coursework combines music theory and performance with psychology, four rounds of field studies, and an internship. Practical training happens at Drury's own Center for Music Therapy and Wellness, and graduates are eligible to sit the board exam for the MT-BC credential. All music majors must pass a faculty audition.

A hands-on program built around modern equipment and instrumentation, offered as three separate majors: ACS Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Chemistry. The 65-credit ACS Chemistry BS is approved by the American Chemical Society and aimed at research careers or professional practice; the 44-credit Chemistry BA leaves more room for another field. Both prepare you for graduate school or a health professional programme. Talk to a chemistry advisor early about which fits your career.
