Everything you need to begin your journey to becoming a global scholar at Drury University. Admission and scholarship decisions are typically made within 10 working days of receiving all required documents.

Admission Requirements
All documents must be translated into English if applicable. Submitted documents are unofficial; official documents are required for final admission. Email us with any questions.
First-year students
Not a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder, graduating high school, and have not taken college courses.
High school transcript
An unofficial transcript is accepted for admission. Documents not in English must be translated by a professional translation agency.
If you took any college-level courses while still in high school, during a summer term, as dual credit, or at a local university, also send a course-by-course evaluation report for that coursework from a NACES-certified evaluation service (opens in a new tab) such as ECE (opens in a new tab), The Evaluation Company (TEC) (opens in a new tab), or WES (opens in a new tab).
Coursework and dual credit completed at a U.S. institution do not need to be evaluated. Send the transcript directly.
You still apply as a first-year student.
An English test score
IELTS UKVI/Academic, TOEFL iBT, SAT, ACT, SAKAE English Test, or Duolingo English Test (DET). From English-speaking countries, SAT or ACT is preferred. Send your score to Drury directly from the testing provider’s portal. A screenshot or student copy is not accepted as the official record.
Financial support documents
Documentation that you can cover your first year of study. Send bank documents in every case, and add Form I-134 only if a third party is funding you.
BANK DOCUMENTS
A bank statement or letter on official letterhead, dated within the last six months, showing the account holder’s name, currency and an available balance covering your first-year cost. Credit card limits and transaction histories are not accepted.
SPONSORSHIP, FORM I-134
If someone other than you or your parents is funding your study, they file an Affidavit of Support (opens in a new tab) showing you have sponsorship and will not become a public charge in the United States. A separate affidavit is required for each applicant, and it must be signed by the sponsor in full name under penalty of perjury. Notarization is not required.

Passport copy
Send the biographic page with the machine-readable zone visible. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your period of stay in the United States, unless your country holds a six-month validity exemption (opens in a new tab).
Transfer students
Not a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder, and currently attending or previously attended college. Requirements depend on where you are transferring from.
U.S. institution
FEWER THAN 30 CREDITS
- Apply as an international transfer student.
- Submit all first-year documents.
- Considered for an international first year scholarship.
MORE THAN 30 CREDITS
- Transfer GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- No English test score required.
- Considered for an international transfer scholarship.

Order it from your current institution’s Registrar, or through the National Student Clearinghouse (opens in a new tab) or Parchment (opens in a new tab), and have it sent electronically to iadmissions@drury.edu. A transcript you send yourself is not considered official.
Non-U.S. institution
- Apply as an international transfer student.
- Submit all first-year documents.

Financial Aid & Scholarships
Academic scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year are awarded on your application materials: transcript and English proficiency. There is no separate application. Decisions often come within 10 days of receiving your transcript and English test report.

IB Diploma students receive our highest scholarship
IB Diploma Programme students pursuing completion of the diploma are awarded the Trustee Scholarship on admission, regardless of high school GPA or ACT/SAT scores. Indicate on your application that you are pursuing the IB Diploma to qualify. Drury also offers college credit for IB classes based on qualifying test scores.

Costs of Attendance
Drury has one price for all students. The estimates below are for I-20 eligibility and exclude personal expenses. Anticipate a modest annual increase.
2026–2027 estimated total: $52,363, before financial aid. This is based on the LewerMark insurance rate and Lydy Suites with the 120-meal plan; personal expenses, including travel to and from Springfield and textbooks, are not included.
These figures cover one academic year, fall through the following spring. A spring start falls at the end of that year, so the fall that follows belongs to the next academic year and carries its own tuition and fees. Ask your admission counselor for those rates.

International students attend both International Orientation and Orientation, so the required fees above include a one-time charge of $190 for International Orientation alongside the $215 Orientation fee. Neither is charged again after your first year.

ADDITIONAL FEES BY MAJOR
Budget roughly $3,900 for fees and insurance combined. Some majors carry fees on top of that:
- Engineering: $1,200 per semester.
- Architecture: $1,200 per semester, except the first semester and during study abroad.
- Nursing: $1,125 when beginning ASN coursework, typically the fall of sophomore year.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a deadline for admission?
Drury has a rolling admission policy. For international students who require an F-1 visa, we recommend applying by mid-June for the fall semester and by mid-October for the spring intake, to allow time for visa processing.
How do I apply?
Apply for free via the Drury application portal, then submit your high school transcripts, English language proficiency test report, bank documents, and a scan of your passport. How you submit them shapes how quickly you hear back: review begins only once the file is complete, so send everything together, clearly labelled, with English translations where applicable. When all required documents arrive and meet those standards, we can usually return an admission and scholarship decision within 10 working days.
I’m in Grade 12. When should I apply?
We can start your admission process as soon as we receive your Grade 10 and 11 transcripts. Start with a free application and we will guide you through the rest.
Do I need an English test score if I’m a native speaker?
An English proficiency requirement applies to all international students. International students are not eligible for test-optional admission. Drury accepts IELTS UKVI/Academic, TOEFL iBT, SAT, ACT, SAKAE English Test, and the Duolingo English Test (DET). If you are from an English-speaking country, or you were educated in a U.S. school system or a DoDEA school, a strong SAT or ACT score is the preferred way to satisfy the requirement.
As an IB Diploma student, do I still need an English test score?
No. IB Diploma students do not need a separate English test score. Successful IB Diploma recipients may also receive up to 30 hours of college credit and are eligible for the top academic scholarship.
How long does admission take?
Once all required documents are received, admission and academic scholarship decisions are made within 10 working days.
How long does it take to issue an I-20?
After being admitted and submitting your deposit and housing application, you can expect your I-20 within 48 hours.
