Your rights under Title IX, how to report, and where to find confidential support.
What Title IX is
Title IX is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education. It applies to every student, faculty member, and staff member at Drury, and it covers sexual harassment, sexual violence, domestic and dating violence, and stalking.
Your immigration status does not change these rights. Reporting will not affect your F-1 or J-1 status.
Your protections
- Equal opportunity in education regardless of sex or gender.
- Protection from sexual harassment and sexual violence.
- Protection from domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
- The right to file a complaint and have it investigated.
- Access to supportive measures while an investigation is underway.
- Protection from retaliation for reporting or taking part in a case.
How to report
If you experience or witness sexual misconduct, you have three routes. You may use more than one.
TITLE IX COORDINATOR
Report directly for investigation and resolution. Contact through Drury's Title IX office.
ONLINE FORM
Submit a report with your name or anonymously. The Title IX office follows up.
CAMPUS SAFETY
For incidents needing an immediate response. Call +1 417-873-7979.

Confidential support
Confidential resources are not required to report what you tell them to the Title IX office. They can support you while you decide what, if anything, you want to do next.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES (BURRELL)
Free, confidential counseling for Drury students. FSC 111, 114, and 115.
HARMONY HOUSE
Springfield's domestic and sexual violence support center, with a 24-hour hotline.
NATIONAL HOTLINES

Campus Safety
The Department of Campus Safety operates 24 hours a day at +1 417-873-7979, responding to emergencies, walking students across campus on request, taking incident reports, handling building access, and keeping lost and found.
